Revelstoke Appoints Oliver Friedrichs, Security Automation Visionary, to Board of Advisors Further Expanding Expertise of the Leadership Team

Friedrichs’ brings decades of expertise as a multiple-time founder, CEO and innovator who revolutionized SOAR and the Security Automation space.
San Jose, CA, April 19, 2023 – Revelstoke Security, (Revelstoke) creators of the first Security Automation platform built on a Unified Data Layer, today announced it has appointed Oliver Friedrichs to its Board of Advisors, further expanding the experienced and visionary leadership team. Friedrichs brings more than 30 years of expertise in cybersecurity, including innovations in security automation, threat detection and vulnerability management, to the Revelstoke Board.

Currently, Friedrichs serves as Founder and CEO at Pangea, driving the vision and direction of Pangea’s Security Platform as a Service. Friedrichs formerly served as Vice President, Security Products at Splunk. With a record in building four successful enterprise security companies over the past two decades, Friedrichs served as Founder and CEO at Phantom, acquired by Splunk in 2018. Prior to Phantom, Friedrichs founded Immunet, acquired by Sourcefire in 2010 and a key component to Cisco’s acquisition of Sourcefire in 2013; now thriving as Cisco’s Advanced Malware Protection (AMP).
Friedrichs co-founded SecurityFocus (Bugtraq) and led DeepSight, the world’s first Internet early warning system, acquired by Symantec in 2002. He also co-founded Secure Networks and led Ballista (CyberCop), one of the industry’s first vulnerability management solutions, acquired by McAfee in 1998. Friedrichs architected and developed a prototype of the first commercial penetration-testing product, SNIPER, acquired by Core Security Technologies in 2001 and further developed into CORE IMPACT. He attended the University of Manitoba and is the co-author of three security books and a recipient of 40 patents in the cybersecurity space.
Oliver Freidrichs joins other including Brian NeSmith, Jeff Williams and others as members of the Advisory Board. The announcement comes on the heels of recent achievements including announcement of Series B funding, integration with leading AI solutions, partnerships with SentinelOne and others, and multiple enterprise customer wins in just the first year to market.
